A Little Visitor at Comilla Bungalow

Nature has a beautiful way of surprising us when we least expect it.

Recently spotted among the greenery at Comilla Bungalow was this beautiful Golden-fronted Leafbird (Chloropsis aurifrons) a striking resident of Sri Lanka’s lush habitats.

With its vibrant green plumage, distinctive dark face and golden-orange forehead, the male Golden-fronted Leafbird is a wonderful example of the colourful birdlife that thrives among our trees and gardens. Their green feathers allow them to blend effortlessly into the foliage, making a quiet walk around the bungalow a little more rewarding for those who take the time to look closely.

For us, moments like these are a reminder that a stay at Comilla is not only about slowing down and reconnecting with nature — sometimes, nature comes to visit you.
