Before Riverbend Hideout was what you see today, there was our Thaththa.
He was the one who found this beautiful piece of land and, about twenty years ago, built the bungalow that still stands here today.
He always loved walking and trekking through forests. In 2016, when the floods made the usual roads impossible, he was 75 years old and still trekked through the surrounding estates to find a way for us to reach the bungalow.
That spirit is still very much a part of Riverbend.
When you visit, you’ll see photographs of him around the bungalow, including one of him sitting by the river, smiling away. They’re little reminders of the person who started it all.
So when you’re here, take a quiet walk through the estate, sit by the pool, look around and enjoy the place.
We think he would have liked that.
