Welcome to Haritha Niwahana

Only half kilometer from the town of Ibbagamuanawa, But giving the feeling of being away from it all, surrounded by various shades of green from the adjoining paddy fields around the coconut estate in which Haritha Nivahana- the eco friendly holiday resort is built ,the view from the rooms is stunning.The sun rising from behind the misty mountains and throwing its rays on the paddy fields where birds are trotting about looking for their breakfast is the view that one wakes up to in the morning.

Haritha Nivahana is only a few meters away from the historical Batalagoda tank located in Ibbagamuwa. History records that the tank was built in pre Christian times and the ruins of an ancient city have been found around the tank which covers a vast area and is more of a lake although called a tank and provides a delightful picnic site and an opportunity to sit back and relax.

Ibbagamuwa is a mere twelve kms from the Kurunegala town and is about an hour's drive to many places of interest such as the Cultural Triangle ( Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, sigiriya ),elephant orphanage and Kandy.
