When the world looks at a Christian the first thing they should see is how much love the believer carries. This was the message the Lord sent to us from the beginning; John 3:16, 'For God so loved....'
God's intention from the beginning was love toward us. It's easy to be aloof with those we don't know. The world tends to tell us that if we are to show love to everyone we can easily be deceived, but on the contrary when the Holy Spirit guides us He gives us wisdom and discernment. He gives us understanding toward others. With His guidance we don't need to feel naive or afraid to be more loving and kind to those around us.
Love is a sign of humility. If you consider yourself a humble person then your level of love should be great. Those around you will also see the love you carry. Thus, the more humble you are the more love you will carry and depict.
1 Corinthians 13 is a beautiful example of what love truly is. Do you know that there can be those who are big in 'charity' and yet not someone who is full of love? Yes, it is possible. In order to truly be a person of love you need to first have a relationship with the One Who loves you; Christ Jesus. He is the epitome of love.
As we spend time with the Lord and meditate on His Word and His goodness, we will learn and understand of how much He loves us and those around us. This will change our heart and the way we treat others.
As believers we need to make this a priority. Let's depict the true nature of God.
Love changed us He will change those around us.
Blessed day!
