Casa Heliconia is an intimate and eclectic hideaway where lush jungle meets stylish luxury within easy reach of the international airport. With only two rooms, each located in their own stylized pavilions with individual veranda dining; guests are guaranteed privacy in this 'jungle glam' property. All interiors boast a fusion of western and asian art and antiques, creating all comforts and some eccentricity in a lush tropical setting at this airport hotel. The cuisine here is light and fresh with local rice and curry or modern fusion 'beyond curry' dishes being served up to guests. For those keen to learn the art of Sri Lankan cookery, lessons can be taken in the traditional wood-fired clay kitchen. The property is based on the perimeter of a farming village, surrounded by plantations and paddy fields. Guests can feel part of rural life whilst under the watchful eye of a stunning temple stoupa. Experiences can include visits to markets, small temples, villages and farmland. It is also ideally located on route to the Cultural Triangle and Kandy.
