Mornings in our Kalkudah Suite are deliberately slow and begin long before you leave the room. It usually involves sipping tea on the upper-floor balcony while the salt air is still cool, followed by an hour lost in a book on the sofa. By the time you’ve traded the plush linens for a swimsuit to head down to the pool, the sun is high and the day is already well spent 👌🏽

At Oddamavadi Fish Market (about 15 mins from Kalkudah Beach House), you’ll meet local fisherman like this who’ve spent a lifetime on the open waters of the east coast. They wake before dawn, head out to sea, and return with a smile and the day’s catch. For them, fishing isn’t just work; it’s a legacy, passed down from father to son.

Their catch is what shapes our kitchen every day. Here, local, seasonal, and fresh isn’t a phrase; it’s simply how life is lived 🎣
