The ground floor consists of an open sided sleeping area, living/dining and 2 en-suite bathrooms. There is an upper floor loft for relaxing. The lodge is equipped with comfortable double beds, lounge chairs, pedestal fans and mosquito netting. The 2 chalets consist of a bedroom opening out to a private veranda, an upper floor loft and a well designed en-suite bathroom. The open sided loft furnished with bean bags and flat beds is ideal for lazing about and spotting birds. One of the chalets sleeps four guests while the other sleeps two. In room facilities include air-conditioning, pedestal fans, double beds, lounge chairs and room service. Dine on Sri Lankan cuisine prepared with fresh village vegetables and meats. Meals are served in the garden Ambalama (open sided pavilion with thatched roof) or in the privacy of your own lodge or chalet. A swimming pool immersed in the tropical gardens is ideal for a cooling dip after an adventurous safari. The gardens equipped with hammocks, tables and chairs are ideal for spotting birds and spending some quiet time immersed in nature. Guests can enjoy safari's accompanied by a wildlife tracker in Yala National Park home to herds of elephants, sloth bear, sambur, spotted deer, wild boar, crocodiles, numerous species of birds and the elusive leopard. Guests can also visit the ancient jungle shrine of Kataragama which is just 10 minutes away. A pilgrimage site that has great religious and historical significance. Birding enthusiasts will enjoy a visit to the tranquil town of Tissamaharama with its ancient reservoirs that attract many species of water birds including cormarant, purple heron, caspian tern and the painted stork. Several ancient Buddhist temples as well as an archaeological museum which provides a glimpse into the ancient Ruhunu kingdom are all located nearby as well.
