We are honoured to have hosted Professor Ahimsa Campos-Arceiz at Jetwing Yala, through the facilitation of the Wildlife and Nature Protection Society (WNPS), for an engaging knowledge-sharing session with naturalists from Yala properties under the Yala Hotels Association.

The session explored the behaviour and ecology of elephants and leopards in Yala, while drawing comparisons with populations found across the island. It also provided a valuable platform to discuss observations and concerns identified by naturalists working in and around Yala. The discussion was further enriched by Professor Enoka Kudavidanage, whose extensive research on wildlife in Sri Lanka offered valuable context and insights, deepening our understanding of the ecosystems and species that surround us.
