D Canal house is an ideal place to switch off from the outside world & reconnect with nature ❤️

by water canals, yet its only a 10 minute walk to the beach. The family took great care in blending the newly build buildings into the surroundings and in-fact a lot of reconditioned furniture, apertures, clay roofing and intricate carvings were used to maintain the natural beauty of the surrounding areas while remaining true to the heritage of Sri Lanka. The washed terracotta color used on all the outside walls , gives the impression that these buildings have long been there and will become part and parcel of the landscaped tropical gardens once the vegetation establish itself. All 3 bungalows are air conditioned and consist of a double bedroom, very spacious bathroom, walk in wardrobe a kitchenette and 2 verandahs leading to a private garden. All 3 bedrooms of the main villa are airconditioned and consist of a double bedroom, bathroom and balconies overlooking a communal pool and /or the surrounding lush vegetation and vegetables garden where one can enjoy the colorful sunrise or sunset sri lanka is famous for . The ground floor hosts the breakfast area on the back terrace overlooking the main canal leading to Mirissa Lake and the a spacious reception/ lounge area overlooking the communal pool. D canal house is an ideal place to switch off from the outside world and re connect with nature through the sound of flowing water coming from the stream and ponds of the tropical gardens or listen to the chirping of birds or calls of peacocks that are in abundance in the area. D Canal house offers the best of both worlds in Mirissa because it offers all the trimmings of the modern world but is situated in a tranquil area where locals live and is only a 10 minute walk from the famous Mirissa beach and all the bars and restaurants.

Just a 10 minute walk from the chaotic Galle/Matara raod along udipilla junction one arrives at D Canal house, a family owned and run complex of 1 main Villa and 3 smaller bungalows complimented with a communal pool all nestled in a tropical garden.
