Shrawani Organics& Tea Estate is a certified organic farm, tea estate, and homestay in Morawaka, Sri Lanka in the foothills of the Sinharaja Rain Forest- a World UNESCO Heritage Site. From tea, to fruit trees, to herbs and spices, to medicinal plants, the grounds provide a unique experience to anyone interested in agroforestry, organic farming, and permaculture. The house itself is over 100 years

old and has been in the family for three generations. Accommodations include three traditional Sri Lankan meals a day, made primarily from the organic produce grown on site, and unlimited tea and coffee.

Our story

Shrawani is one of a handful of estates in Sri Lanka that uses organic, permaculture methods to produce top quality tea and spices. Our products have been grown organically for the past 15 years and certified since 2012.

Over the years, we have reintroduced hundreds of indigenous species to grow amongst and alongside our tea plants – producing pepper, cloves, coconuts, cinnamon, fruits, ayurvedic medicinal plants and a variety of nutritious greens.

We work the land carefully and sensitively, allowing natural pollinators and the trees themselves to do what they do best.
