An expression of Geoffrey Bawa’s tropical modernist vision, Jetwing Lagoon Wellness, reflects his early thinking on how architecture should respond to its surroundings. Originally built as The Blue Lagoon in 1965, it was among the first places in Sri Lanka where buildings were designed to sit within the landscape, allowing light and space to converge in harmony, with deep respect for the natural environment that already existed.
Today, that intent continues with a renewed focus on wellness as a way of living. With the evolution of Prana Wellness Centre, refreshed spaces, and a deeper attentiveness to the lagoon and its surrounds, the architecture gently guides each experience. Open courtyards and pathways invite a sense of calm in every corner. Wellness here is found in space and tranquility that has always defined this place.
