🌴 Your Sri Lankan Travel Update: Don't Cancel, Aiyo! 🐘
A warm Ayubowan (May you have a long life!) to all our friends messaging about December trips..

From the teardrop island of Sri Lanka, we thank you for your concern. We know you've heard about Cyclone Ditwah, but here's the real news from the ground, delivered with a cup of Ceylon tea ☕️

The Storm Has Passed: Cyclone Ditwah sailed away few days ago. The sun is back, ready to warm up our beautiful beaches ❤ 🙏

The South Coast is Safe and most main towns did not experience significant flooding.

A Small Adjustment like adjusting the spice in your favorite curry, you might need to slightly tweak your itinerary. Your trusted local tour operator will be your best guide so please lean on their expertise. 🙏

Why Your Trip Matters Now, More Than Ever is because Sri Lanka is a small island with a massive heart, and we rely heavily on the kind souls who visit us.

After the end of the 30-year civil war, we were finally tasting the sweet success of tourism. Then came the 2019 Easter Attacks, the 2020–21 COVID-19 pandemic, the 2022 economic crisis, and now this devastating storm. Yet, through every challenge, Sri Lanka’s spirit remains strong, our communities resilient, and our natural beauty as breathtaking as ever.

We are resilient, but we need your help to keep our momentum going. Every booking supports a family, a small stall, and the future of this enchanting land.

So please, keep your bags packed, and don't cancel your adventure!

Now is the perfect time to visit. Let us welcome you with our world-famous smile and hospitality. 🫶

Help Sri Lanka rise again, stronger than a majestic elephant! 🐘 🇱🇰

If you need to change anything, contact your tour operator, they are ready to assist with true Sri Lankan hospitality.

We at Ceylora Travels are here if you’d like to reach out to us for any travel arrangements or questions. You can DM us here or contact us through our WhatsApp number in the page. 📞 ☎️

Sincerely, A concerned Sri Lankan,
Representing the Ceylora Travels Family 🌿🐘🇱🇰

Sri Lanka Tourism Back on Track: All Major Sites Open & Visitors Flowing In

Sri Lanka’s tourism sector continues to show strong resilience and stability as attractions, transport routes, and hotels across the country remain fully operational following recent adverse weather.

Tourist Attractions:

All major wildlife parks, including Yala (all gates), Udawalawe, Minneriya, Kumana, Horton Plains, Wilpattu and Bundala are open to visitors.

Marine tourism sites such as Mirissa and Kalpitiya whale watching tours, Hikkaduwa Coral Sanctuary, and Pigeon Island are also operating normally. All cultural sites and museums under the Central Cultural Fund are open. Forest attractions are accessible, except the Knuckles region, which remains temporarily closed.

Weather & Hotel Occupancy:

Sunny weather is reported in major coastal and inland tourism zones including Negombo, Kalutara, Bentota, Beruwela, Hikkaduwa, Passikudah, Arugambay and Ella. Hotels across all regions report strong occupancy, with electricity and essential services functioning uninterrupted.

Road & Rail Access:

Road access to every major tourist destination has been restored, with main highways fully open. Railway services on the Coastal Line are running as scheduled, while Main Line trains are operating up to Mirigama and Abepussa.

Fuel & Power Supply:

Fuel distribution across the country is running smoothly except for minor delays in the Kaduwela area. Power has been restored to almost all tourism zones, with final restoration efforts underway in a few isolated locations.

Sri Lanka’s tourism industry continues to operate strongly, welcoming visitors and supporting the nation’s economic recovery.

We call it Little England… and for good reason.

Mist that rolls in like soft cotton. Hills that rise and fall like waves of green velvet. Tea fields brushed by the early morning sun.

Colombo to Nuwara Eliya Road, via Awissawela and Ginigathhena, is open.

Sri Lanka’s beauty never takes a break!

Never dims, never forgets to welcome you.

Come when you’re ready. The mist will still dance. The hills will still rise. And Little England will wait, safe, magical, and eternally beautiful.
