At Jetwing St. Andrew’s, our commitment to responsible and sustainable hospitality continues to evolve through meaningful collaboration with our valued suppliers. Recognising that supply chain emissions form a significant part of the hospitality sector’s footprint, we remain steadfast in our focus on local sourcing. As the first Sri Lankan hotel chain to feature only local fruits and seafood, this commitment remains central to how we operate.
This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming 55 suppliers who support our Nuwara Eliya properties, as well as neighbouring hotels and bungalows, for an engaging awareness session at the hotel. The gathering underscored the importance of shared understanding and collective responsibility, strengthening the partnerships that ensure our sustainable operations. During the session, we introduced key operational expectations and food safety practices, including proper temperature management, reducing plastic and polythene use, and adopting reusable crates for transportation. Through ongoing dialogue and collaboration, we continue to uphold the standards that define Jetwing hospitality while nurturing a more sustainable and resilient supply chain.
