This World Tourism Day, our team at Jetwing St. Andrew’s joined hands with our associates from Jetwing Warwick Gardens, Jetwing Hoffmann Bungalow and Olive Bungalow for a Shramadana campaign at Nanu Oya Railway Station.

As one of the main gateways to Nuwara Eliya and a familiar landmark for travellers exploring the hill country, the station holds a special place in the journeys of many who visit our region. Step back in time at Jetwing St. Andrew's with one of Sri Lanka's oldest billiard tables. Crafted in 1836 by the renowned Burroughes & Watts of London, pioneers of professional billiards and snooker, it stands as a remarkable piece of sporting history.

Believed to have travelled from England to India before reaching Sri Lanka, the table completed its final journey to the hill country on the backs of elephants, long before railways and modern roads connected Nuwara Eliya. Its remarkable passage adds a fascinating chapter to the mansion's heritage.
