A Jetwing Luxury Reserve Jetwing Surf utilizes a unique style of architecture; one which sets new benchmarks in eco-tourism. Construction is designed with minimum carbon footprint, with the structures made using wood, woven coconut palm leaves and reeds from lakes called illuk – all of which are naturally found in Sri Lanka. All this and more combined creates a 20 chalet resort that is truly environmentally responsible and sustainable, and in a location that is only 5 minutes away from one of the world’s finest surfing destinations – Arugam Bay.

This World Tourism Day, our associates came together for a beach clean-up stretching all the way to Pottuvil Point, taking a step towards keeping our beautiful coastline clean and cared for.

We also invited our in-house guests to be part of something meaningful by planting coconut trees within the hotel premises, leaving behind a little something that will continue to grow long after their stay.

Through these simple yet wholesome acts, we are reminded of the role each of us can play in caring for the places we visit and call home. At Jetwing Surf & Safari, we are grateful to share these experiences with our guests and associates, making a difference together while preserving the beauty of our surroundings for generations to come.

A gem of Sri Lanka’s east, Kumana National Park is a haven for wildlife and birdlife, with its wetlands, forests and open landscapes providing a home to an incredible variety of species. From leopards resting in the trees to deer moving through the grasslands and colourful birds taking flight, every safari brings the possibility of discovering something different.

With Blocks 1 and 2 of Yala National Park temporarily closed at present, Kumana offers a wonderful opportunity to set out on a safari and experience Sri Lanka’s wild side.
