The hotel back yard has a fabulous view of the range of Suriyakanda mountains above a sugar cane cultivation which bordered the rear side of the hotel. Udawalawe is the most reliable place to see elephants in their wild habitat all year round.Also to view the leopard family that had been viewed quite often recently by the visitors. Front balcony is overlooking Udawalawa National Park and rare balcony is facing to the magnificent view of the Suriakanda range of mountains above the sugar cane cultivation. Free accommodation and meals are provided for chauffeur guides who accompany with foreign tourists. Buffet arrangement with all local vegetables and fruits. Delicious curries cooked with fresh village vegetables (spicy or non spicy) cooked in clay pots (Some of them are from the Hotel organic garden)

Comfortable Jeeps with higher seats for Safaris to Udawalawe National Park at a reasonable price. As the Hotel is located just in front of the National Park, it is an ideal place for bird watching to do early morning visits. Excursions to the Elephant Transit Home could be arranged to view the feeding of the baby elephants with milk at special feeding times. Special natural river bath could be organized at a safe and enjoyable place. Transport could be organized to Ella, Mirissa, Tangalle, Arugam bay, Yala, Kataragma and to the Airport in a Hotel owned vehicle at a reasonable price. Tracking bicycles are available at a reasonable price.

Sri Lanka receives Safe Travels Stamp from World Travel & Tourism Council.

Recognising the safety protocols introduced by the Government of Sri Lanka along with standards mandated by SLTDA to ensure the safety of domestic and international travellers, destination Sri Lanka was recently endowed with the World Travel and Tourism Council’s (WTTC) Safe Travels stamp along with 16 other countries.

Whilst establishing confidence among tourists looking at the island paradise as a preferred destination to travel amidst the pandemic, the Safe Travels stamp will also allow them to recognise properties and businesses that diligently follow globally streamed health and hygiene protocols aligned with the WTTC’s Safe Travels Protocols.

The WTTC’s Safe Travels stamp is the first of its kind, specifically designed to combat the ramifications of Covid-19 and similar outbreaks. Recognised and embraced by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the stamp allows travellers to trot the globe whilst ensuring their safety.

Sri Lanka joins the ranks of leading destinations to be stamped safe, including Indonesia, Dubai, Tanzania, Portugal, Mexican Caribbean, Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, Turkey, Bulgaria, Jamaica, Mauritius, Ontario, Saudi Arabia, Rwanda and counting, having had its protocols validated by WTTC to be in line with those devised by the global organization.
