Villa Vanna is a newly built, privately owned, villa in the south of Sri Lanka, close to Unawatuna and Galle. With 4 wonderful bedrooms this spacious villa can accommodate up to 9 people. Sansun Vanna in Sinhalese means relax, and that is exactly what you are supposed to do at Villa Vanna. You always have the whole villa to yourself and the staff are here to see that you have everything you need a

nd more. With the infinity pool, various spots to relax in the lush garden but also a lot of activities for both kids and adults, the villa is built for a relaxing, sustainable, holiday whether you are a family or a group of friends travelling together.

Sri Lanka is a place to slow down and explore at the same time. Morning walks through green rice fields, lazy afternoons by the beach, incredible food, warm people, and evenings with unforgettable sunsets.

This is our corner of the world… maybe it could be yours too. 💛

It was a long journey, but without a doubt the best thing we’ve ever done. ❤️

Throughout the entire process, we made a conscious effort to support the local community; buying materials from nearby shops, working with a local tailor, a local metalworker, and many others.

Today, I feel incredibly proud and grateful that we welcome guests from all over the world, as well as from Sri Lanka, while also being able to support four families through our work.

I am deeply saddened and upset by the ongoing development in parts of Sri Lanka where some places have introduced “foreigners only” policies, preventing local people from entering restaurants and venues. This is not the Sri Lanka we know and love, and I feel I have to speak up. We stand firmly against discrimination in any form.

We encourage our guests and other travelers to speak up, act responsibly, and choose not to support places that promote exclusion. Travel should bring people together — not divide us. 💛

Sri Lanka’s true beauty lies in its people, its warmth, and its rich culture. Pride in local culture should mean celebrating and sharing it, while ensuring everyone feels welcome and respected. Let’s stand together against racism and support a future built on inclusion and respect for everyone.
