Built nearly a century ago using brick and lime mortar technique of plaster, the house has three guest rooms with a capacity for 8 persons. Shaded by ancient mango and other trees, the peaceful rural ambiance only disturbed by numerous bird calls and the breeze rustling through the leafy vegetation. A 750 m nature walk leads through part cultivated forest (arboretum) of over 100 species of native
and endemic trees as well as coconut groves, ending at a viewpoint of a lake (tank) and a forest beyond. Or walk down to the rice fields (paddy fields) of the property, where rice cultivation can be observed first hand. The property is the home for a large number of bird species as well as Giant squirrel and other small mammals. The bungalow is provided with fans in all rooms, two attached toilets. While guests are expected to take provisions needed, the staff would be happy to prepare the meals as required. The property is accessible on well surfaced roads 90-110 minutes from Colombo or a hour from Negombo. Most needs are available in shops 1.7 km away or at Cargils FoodCity at Pannala 8 km away. Historic sites of Panduwasnuwara, Dambadeniya are within reach from this bungalow.
