Livonian household "Stūrīši - Branki" offers guest accommodation in 4 houses owned by our family, quietly situated in the picturesque historic Livonian fishing village in Mazirbe, Kurzeme.
Our "Stūrīši - Branki" Family has run the B&B for the last 10 years.
We are Livonian (Liiv) and Latvian descendants, with roots, history and heritage in the Kurzeme coast and our house has been inherited throughout generations.
Our Family loves collecting and restoring various items of significance and interest from both national histories and you will see this reflected in the design elements of all our houses.

About Mazirbe
Mazirbe is located at the edge of "Sliteres National Park", highly protected zone in Latvia, full of untouched nature, rural charm and past. It is the ideal location for exploring the National Park, Kolka, Dundaga and surrounding areas with hidden points of interest, rarely mentioned in tourist guides.
The stunning, white Baltic Sea beach is only 5-10 minutes walk away, offering completely secluded leisure - it is so far away from the usual beach-goer routes you may be the only person for miles on a hot summer day!
The B&B
Three of the four houses are traditional Livonian households, built before 1900s. One more additional summerhouse has been built in recent years and features unique design. There are four locations to stay in:
2nd floor of "Branki" (Anno 1900), where you can experience how the old roofs are built and have an amazing view of the forest and fields from the balcony
The Summerhouse, featuring a living room with a masterpiece fireplace and 2 floors of living
Museum and Guesthouse"Stūrīši" (built in 1800’s), where you can cook with old-school kitchen appliances and live amongst vintage collection of various items such as furniture and relics of past times
Household "Mežmaļi" is an old, preserved house of how families used to live in the recent, Soviet Union past. It’s like staying at your grandmas’!
A traditional firewood heated sauna (hot rocks and steam) is available for hire to all guests who stay at least 2 nights.
Food
NB! We only serve food to our B&B guests and tourist groups, which have booked their visit in advance!
Breakfast can be included in your booking. Evening meals can be ordered in advance as well. Our Chief Igors is a highly celebrated cook and we use all local products from countryside - all the buzzwords you can think of, we have: local grown, independent farmers, biological, region-specific cuisine, spices and taste.
What else do we do
Our "Stūrīši - Branki" Family also provides excursions, guided tours and information about the local points of interest. If ordered in advance, large groups can have a meal here - up to 160 people in the summer.
We also host various events, such as weddings and yoga retreats. Let us know your idea and we will see if we can make it happen!
Please note: our family speaks Latvian and Russian fluently. Don't worry if you don't know these - we have mastered the art of hand-gesturing and appropriate keywords for your understanding. The website, online booking providers and social networks are managed by an English, Latvian & Russian speaker who will help you with all your queries.
