Come in, sit down, grab a coffee – right in the heart of Riga. ☕

Did you know that part of Rixwell Old Riga Palace Hotel used to be a warehouse? Built in the 18th century as a riverside warehouse, this building at Pasta iela 3 once held cargo hauled up from the Daugava – stored on the upper floors to stay above the floodwaters, while people lived quietly below. The original lifting mechanisms and timber beams are still here.

Three centuries later, architects Juris Bērziņš and Maija Brice-Rugāne restored it, preserving every beam, every vault, every century-old detail.

Now it is a hotel, but the building still holds stories from centuries ago. Come and explore it.
