Chomsky Residence is located in a quiet courtyard, near the former location of the legendary Chomsky bar. The hostel is situated in an Art Nouveau style building from 1912. The staff approve of Noam Chomsky's philosophy and provide a welcoming space for nonconformists. The 3-room apartment provides lots of privacy and a sense of feeling at home. Guests enjoy the cozy microhostel ambience, central

location, 24 hour access, and our limited capacity means the place is never too crowded or cluttered. Chomsky Residence is preferred by several local venues for their visiting artists, so guests have a unique opportunity to experience Rīga's alternative cultural offerings. The premises is freshly renovated and the interior was designed by rising stars of the Latvian arts scene, who you can occasionally meet at neighborhood bars. The area around Lāčplēša and Avotu streets is the new hotspot for local bohemia. The neighborhood is authentic and off the beaten path of the common tourist crowd, while still being in the center of the city. Located nearby, the 'Čē' bar itself, with its rough edged look and quality prices, brings in a fair mix of the more artistic and open minded side of society. Other food & culture spots are easy to access on foot or bicycle, including Bolderāja, Aleponija, Autentika, KKC, Terapija, DJs Bar. We are waiting to greet you!
