Kasbah Du Toubkal Kasbah du Toubkal is Morocco’s premier mountain hotel, located in the heart of the Imlil Valley. Contact us to arrange your stay or to book for lunch.

It offers stunning 360° views of the High Atlas Mountains and is just a 90-minute drive from Marrakech. In 1989 two brothers spotted a summer house that had fallen into disrepair. In 1995 the renovated building opened as Kasbah Du Toubkal. The hotel now has 14 rooms and 2 family rooms. There is no road access and is a 15-minute walk or mule ride. There is a Village Reception opposite the main car park in the centre of Imlil. Imlil is a 75-minute drive from Marrakech. The hotel is open all year round but is also open to non-residents for a day trip or lunch

As summer fades into autumn, clear skies and comfortable temperatures for high-altitude trekking make September through to November the most popular time for trekkers in the High Atlas Mountains.

In our latest newsletter, read about the training of many local mountain guides and our Kasbah team by International Mountain Leader Alan Ward and Mountain Leader Helen Mehnick. As a result of their training, the guides and team have achieved an internationally recognised certification in mountain skills as well as First Aid.

Fadma bakes the bread that accompanies our meals in her small garden oven using traditional Amazigh (Berber) methods.

After making the dough and proving it, she places it in her hot clay oven by hand, turning the bread as necessary to ensure even cooking. She has no need for a timer, intuition tells her when the bread is ready.

Have you ever tasted Fadma’s bread? It’s so delicious, especially when still warm 😋.
