What a joy it is to wander once more through the medina, that timeless maze where everything moves — and, thankfully, not always in circles.
One delightful find was the shop-gallery of Hafida Z**i, a Moroccan artist drawing inspiration from the artistic current of Fatima Gbouri. Her cheerful paintings rub shoulders with tastefully subtle merchandise, creating a charming window into female creativity — artistic, entrepreneurial, and perfectly human-sized. Or rather… woman-sized! As always, it’s the women who bring vision and possibility — while elsewhere, the masculine world too often loops through the same tired, destructive patterns with no real way forward

We opened during Christmas 2002, the first guests were on arrival and I was rolling out the last carpet in front of our entrance...

Since then, Dar Attajmil hasn’t stopped to roll out beautiful Moroccan carpets before new guests, each one a special one to us, each one a sort of unique one to us.

We do our work with passion, with the pleasure for what we make. We like to work with the same affectionated people: Brahim, Fatna, Fatima Ezzahra are with us since the beginning and grew up with us in their skills and habilities. We are a family and we like to share this family feeling with our visitors and make our very best to let them enjoy the very best of Moroccan hospitality and beautiful Marrakech.
