After 12 years Riad Najmati was closed for business under my ownership in August 2019. This page is a reminder of those days and in gratitude for all the guests and staff who made living and working in Marrakesh an exhilarating, rewarding experience.
Thank you to everyone who made it possible.
Without my excellent managers, Abdellah, Moha, and Abdelilah, and numerous friends, none of the wonders of hosting and being hosted, nor of travelling around the country would have been possible.

Note the several women in senior executive roles ... as well as the broader economic picture in a country often viewed as little more than a tourist destination. Looking forward to using the new TGV line. And, yes, Marrakesh was voted No 1 tourist destination in 2015. Come and stay in my riad!

All Moroccan produce. I support local business wherever possible. Here are 3 eminently drinkable new varietal red wines, as well as a favourite white Domaine de Sahari Reserve. No 1 Oysters from Dhakla and Tarte au Citron from Marrakesh. All four cheeses - a Blue, Brie, Edam and Gouda style are all made in Morocco, and very good too. The Moroccan made Camembert was not available today. Not forgetting the best locally brewed beer Casablanca.
