Riad Porte Royale has five bedrooms all of which are ensuite. With its white walls and rooms, it is a welcome contrast after an overdose of sensory Marrakech, with plenty of corners to talk in or read or take it easy, and a 3 x 2 meter plunge pool in the traditional courtyard for the hotter months. The exotic pink roof terrace has sun-beds, a large and airy white canopy, and views of nearby palms,
and is a perfect place on sunny mornings to have breakfast, which is included. We are ideally located in a peaceful area which gives an interesting insight to local daily life, yet favored by the Hermès family, and home to famous restaurants such as Dar Yacout. so saying, the riad is close to the beautiful shrine of Sidi Bel Abbess, and about a 10-15 minute walk from major museums and monuments such as the Medersa of Ben Youssef and the colourful shops in the souks leading to Djemma el Fna. However, we are also just metres from the old ramparts, giving rapid access to other tourist attractions such as the Majorelle Gardens, and Guéliz, the modern town of Marrakech with its chic cafés, restaurants and shops.
