It’s hard to believe that our Gauder Art Residency Program has been running for more than a year and a half already. ✨
Over this time, we’ve had the privilege of welcoming more than 30 artists to Riad Al Massarah in Marrakech, from different corners of the world, each bringing their own stories, ideas and creative energy. Most of our residents have been Hungarian artists, which makes this little community especially close to our hearts.
A few days ago, we invited some of our former residents — along with a few artists who will be joining us for future residencies — for a little coffee gathering in Budapest. We thought it would be a small get-together, but somehow, more than 20 of us ended up around the table. ☕️
It was so special to hear their stories about artworks inspired by Marrakech, new creative plans, and friendships that began in the Riad.
And perhaps this is what makes the residency so meaningful to us. It’s not only about the time spent in Marrakech. It’s about the connections that stay, the ideas that keep growing, and the friendships that continue long after the residency comes to an end.
What started as a little passion project has grown into a beautiful community of artists and wonderful people... and we couldn’t be more grateful. 🤍
