At Jane Tamsna, hospitality has always extended beyond design and comfort into the realm of culture-where conversations, ideas, and artistic expression shape the experience as much as the setting itself. In this spirit, we are honored to welcome the family of the legendary violinist Isaac Stern for a series of intimate musical evenings.

Across two nights, we will gather around David Stern, Katarina Wolff, and Sofia Stern an intentionally small audience for performances that recall the tradition of the salon de musique-where proximity, nuance, and shared attention create a rare intensity.

The first evening explores the voice within the classical repertoire, tracing its depth and expressive range.
The second moves into the language of jazz, where voice becomes improvisation, rhythm, and freedom.
Each performance unfolds within the intimacy of the estate, where music is not staged but lived-carried through the gardens, the architecture, and the quiet presence of those who listen.

These evenings are conceived as moments rather than events-unrepeatable, personal, and deliberately limited in scale.
They reflect a belief that the most memorable experiences are those that cannot be reproduced, only shared.

For those who find themselves in Marrakech during these dates, a small number of places may still be available.

Here, not only is each room unique, but the landscape itself unfolds in extraordinary diversity.

After crossing the lush oasis created by Gary Martin—where remarkable trees and their surrounding vegetation form a living tapestry, and a forest of hundreds of species adapted to the desert climate grows along a winding, serpentine path—an ancient gate reveals a new world. Beyond it, a desert landscape emerges, structured around time-worn adobe walls.

This extension, known as Jnane Karwan, has been recognized among the world’s most remarkable places by TIME.
We are deeply honored by this distinction, which reflects an experience unlike any other: tented rooms where art and refinement meet in a setting of rare beauty.

Set within ten acres of gardens, with six hundred century-old palm and olive trees and a serpentine landscape, the estate offers a rare diversity of settings for weddings, anniversaries, and celebrations.

Couples can choose from seven distinct locations for the ceremony, six for the reception, five for dinner, and three for dancing—allowing each moment of the celebration to unfold in a new and unexpected setting.

Our celebrations are designed as movable feasts, where each transition reveals a different atmosphere, creating a sense of discovery throughout the event. The estate combines this element of surprise with the intimacy and character of a private home.

We are not a banquet venue. Many of our couples return to celebrate their first, fifth, tenth, and even twentieth anniversaries with us—often accompanied by guests who still describe their wedding here as “the best they have ever attended.”

Inspired by a nomadic, tented way of living, from Timbuktu to Punjab, the journey begins through lush gardens before opening onto a serene desert landscape.

There, a collection of intimate, art-filled tents offers a world of comfort, texture, and understated luxury.

A few years ago, twenty-three children — between four and ten — were running through the gardens of Jnane Tamsna, searching for Easter eggs. Laughter everywhere, a kind of joy that fills the air and stays with you.
Today, they are all teenagers. No Easter egg hunt this year.
And yet, what remains is something far more lasting: the quiet, profound feeling that Jnane Tamsna is woven into so many lives. Weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, yearly reunions… children discovering turtles in the gardens, families gathering across continents, moments becoming memories.

Places can host.
But rarely do they hold.

Jnane Tamsna does.

The Diaspora Salon, our annual gathering at Jnane Tamsna, continues to receive remarkable and meaningful press coverage.

We are especially grateful to Forbes for recognizing not only the extraordinary convergence of writers, historians, artists, and tech leaders, but also for highlighting the Salon’s growing role as a powerful platform for economic networking and exchange.

In its tradition of hosting singular cultural moments, Jnane Tamsna presents “Keynotes”, an intimate series of conversations and music exploring the worlds of classical and jazz.

Led by the distinguished lineage of Isaac Stern, who was considered one of the best violinists of all times, the evenings will feature his son David Stern, his granddaughter Sofia Stern, and his daughter-in-law Katharina Wolff—offering a rare encounter between generations of musical excellence.

Two extraordinary evenings, where music and dialogue unfold in the enchanting setting of Jnane Tamsna.

A limited number of rooms remain available for those wishing to stay, or guests may just reserve tickets for the events.
Please refer to the information above if you wish to join these magical moments.

In an atmosphere both intimate and timeless, enchanting music and words rising through the lush oasis of palm trees.

Jnane Karwan, our refined desert camp (jnankarwan.com), is set among evocative rammed-earth ruins on land neighboring the lush oasis of Jnane Tamsna. Here, heritage, nature, and understated elegance converge to create a rare and deeply immersive experience of place.

The main lounge chosen by TIME to illustrate their story is known as the Green Room. It was designed to feel like a desert salon for art lovers. The space brings together an eclectic collection of works from across Senegal, Morocco, and Mexico, including pieces by Francisco Toledo, Sambou Diouf, and Mo Bala.

A monumental artwork created in Senegal by Philippe Deltour stands beside the baby grand piano, while a dramatic night time drawing of the Medina by Nic Fiddian-Green—best known for the monumental horse head that rises above Marble Arch in London—adds a striking focal point. A photographic work by Spanish artist Alexis de Villar captures the quiet poetry of an oasis village in the Sahara.

Tuareg travel trunks and a leather chess set complete the elegant nomadic atmosphere. By night, when torchlight flickers across the rammed-earth ruins outside, the Green Room becomes one of Karwan’s most atmospheric spaces.
