Some quotes about our city

. In 1063 the Almoraviden built a military settlement here, after which it developed a walled city around this camp. The sources at the time of Almoraviden describe the city as a prosperous town, with parks, mosques, baths and canals. From the Almoraviden the city was named Tagrart ('camp of the army' in the Berber). The current name is due to the city of a large Berber tribe, the Miknasa, which had settled in this area since the 8th century.❤️🇲🇦
