At 4 km from M´hamid, you can find “Camp Jamal” camping. You can sleep here in a big, or small tent. Or get a parking place for caravane. There is a kitchen, shower and toilets. Here is also the old Sahara Historic Fortress, build by Jamal´s grand, grandfather, the marabou-martyr Sidi Khalil Sbai.
Details:
• The tours start from M’hamid. Jamal can informe you, how to arrive here by bus, collective taxi or other transport.
• Meals are included on price. - Wather is not included.
• To book a trip, 15 % of price will be paid in advance and 85 % will be paid at boarding.

1.Tour one: 2 Days on 4x4: M’hamid – Sacred Oasis – Erg Chigaga - M’hamid – 220 €
Day 1: Visit of M’Hamid kasbah, stop at Sacred Oasis. Lunch nearby Sacred Oasis. Climbing the dunes, dinner with music around the fire and accommodation in bivouac, in Erg Chigaga.
Day 2: Breakfast, camel ride, return to M’hamid.
(If you like to extend your trip with few hours, From Erg Chegaga we can go to Lake Iriqui and after it return to M´hamid. It will be an extra fee of 3o euro. )

About Jamal: Since he was nine, his “magnet” is wandering on desert. First time he run away from home, to wander on desert and he gest lost, he was six. After few dramatic escapes, Jamal’s parents ended by allowing him to live at his grands parents, who were Bedouins. Jamal pasture theirs camels, donkeys and goats. They wandered from place to place, installing the tent all over. So many nights, Jamal was sleeping alone, on dunes, near camels, donkeys and goats! And dangerous snakes would come and sleep in peace, near him. Once, when Jamal was 11, on village, some tourists give him candy. Jamal was so surprised by their act than he began talking to them by signs, inviting them on the desert, only to thanks them. Real guides come to explain the tourists that they are professional. But the tourists made their tour alones, with Jamal. This was the beginning.
