20 luxurious Cottage Suites are built in the traditional Shan way. All are easily affordable without compromising comfort, amenities or the unique atmosphere of the Lodge. All Cottage Suites are built on pilings on the ViewPoint lake using traditional Shan ecofriendly construction. The Lodge and Cottages are built with local limestone, mud and rice straw, and reinforced with wooden beams. Only paints made from laterite mud and natural wax decorate the Lodge. Using traditional materials does not mean compromising modern comforts. All suites have modern bathrooms and are equipped with wireless internet, telephone, LCD TV, unlimited movies and music. Suites are both thermal and sound insulated, and windows use doubleinsulated glass, all to ensure our guests’ comfort. ViewPoint is the only lodge in the Shan region boasting one restaurant & one bar that blend excellent Shan local and wines, room service, together with Swiss management. The ViewPoint Restaurant is the best local restaurant in Myanmar according to the Routard Guide and Lonely Planet Travel Guide books. In our second restaurant, The Shan, you can dine while enjoying an amazing view of the canal, rice paddies and the highest mountains in the Inle region.
