Our Story
If your flight arrives Yangon late at night, or you are leaving Yangon in the early morning, we believe we are the best fit for you.
Roly Hostel is very close to Yangon Airport, best choice if you are arriving at midnight or catching an early flight at dawn. We are also close to the Main Bus Station, which is convenient to catch a bus to famous tourist spots like Bagan and Inle Lake nearby.
Time is money. Just like other big cities in Asia, traffic jam in Yangon is an inevitable nightmare for travellers. It always takes over 2hrs from city centre to the airport (or vice versa) during the day. Stay with us, no traffic jam for certain. Therefore, if you are flying to your next destination the next day, we recommend you staying in the city centre for sightseeing during your last day, while after dinner, you could grab a taxi from the city centre to our hostel. During the night, you can take a shower, pack up your luggage, drink a beer at our balcony under the starry night and have a nice chat with other travellers till midnight. In the next morning you would not need to worry about the traffic or wake up super early to hurry for the plane. Just leave the hostel and get to the airport 2hrs before your flight departure. Totally hassle free.
Our staff is very friendly and helpful. We are happy to assist in planning your Myanmar trip. If you want to travel in depth, we are pleased to tell you all tips for how to experience Myanmar from transportation to food.
If you wanna try monk meditation and experience daily life of a Buddhist, we can arrange for you too (it takes longer time, and you would need to shave your head.)!
We are a small hostel with 2 dormitories (12 beds in total). We have an excellent balcony as common room. Every morning, our Myanmar mama will serve traditional Myanmarese breakfast as well as coffee, milk tea, fruits and toasts.
There is a hotel under construction just in front of our hostel. On your way, don’t get shocked when you see the entrance is leading to a construction site. We are right behind the construction site and we are fully equipped. Thank you!
