À Bel Ombre, la Place du Moulin a accueilli vendredi dernier la première édition du Marché du Tourisme. ✨

Le temps d'une journée, artisans, acteurs du tourisme, habitants et voyageurs se sont retrouvés autour du savoir-faire mauricien : ses saveurs, ses gestes, ses récits et les visages qui le portent.

« Maurice possède de nombreux atouts, mais c'est avant tout la touche humaine, l'accueil et le sourire des nombreuses personnes qui font vivre ce secteur, qui rendent l'île véritablement magique aux yeux des visiteurs », souligne Nadine Curpanen William, People Development Manager chez Heritage Resorts & Golf.

Une initiative imaginée et portée par les collaborateurs d'ER Hospitality, en dernière année de formation à @‌polytechnicsmauritiusltd, dans le cadre de leur évaluation académique finale. Un projet qui a mis à l'honneur le sud, ses artisans et un tourisme ancré dans son territoire.

• Proven track record in strategic business management, financial performance, F&B commercial strategy, menu engineering, and cost optimisation.
• Strong leadership, team development, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to innovate and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience in premium dining and elevated lifestyle environments, including gastronomic catering, premium events and special functions, with a strong understanding of high-end Mediterranean beach club service codes.
• Strong commitment to sustainability, quality service, and brand integrity.

With 25 years of experience in hospitality, Guillaume has built his career across some of Mauritius’ renowned hotels. His journey with ER Hospitality began with the opening of Heritage Awali, where he spent 15 years before joining Veranda Palmar.

Over the past 10 years at Veranda Palmar, Guillaume has continued to grow, starting as Front Office Manager before progressing to his current role as Operations Manager.

What makes his experience meaningful? Feeling appreciated for his contribution, seeing his efforts recognised and being given opportunities to progress.

He also values the good atmosphere and positive mindset of the people around him - the kind of environment that makes teamwork and everyday interactions enjoyable.

Today, Guillaume brings his experience, positive energy and welcoming spirit to his role, while continuing to give his best to his team and the hotel.

Mentored by Antoine Petrus, two-time Meilleur Ouvrier de France in Sommellerie and Maître d’Hôtel, and joined by ninth-generation winemaker Numa Cornut, our sommeliers, head waiters and waiters took part in masterclasses that extended beyond the classroom, combining expert knowledge, hands-on learning and meaningful exchanges.

À Veranda Grand Baie Hotel & Spa, la cantine de nos employés s’orne désormais d’une belle fresque réalisée par Sapna Gallery, apportant une nouvelle touche de couleur et de vie à cet espace.

Pour nos équipes, cette fresque représente bien plus qu’une œuvre d’art. Elle évoque des mots forts : convivialité, famille et “𝘭𝘢𝘬𝘢𝘻 𝘮𝘢𝘮𝘢”. Des mots qui traduisent parfaitement l’esprit que nous souhaitons cultiver.

Cette initiative portée par Elodie Sooriah, notre Hotel Manager, reflète notre volonté d’offrir à nos collaborateurs un environnement de travail agréable, pensé pour leur épanouissement.
