LAKAZ DEL SOL - after 9 months since opening and with the Tourism Permit now in hand, it feels important to reflect on my personal achievements and how Lakaz Del Sol is performing today...
Seventeen years of passion, dedication, and a love for the hospitality industry shaped my career, a path I knew was made for me. Working with renowned hotel groups in Mauritius, I met incredible people—partners, colleagues, and guests—each adding to the unforgettable adventure.
This was never just a job; it was a calling, an undeniable connection to tourism that became a core part of who I am.
As I approached 40, I realized it was time to embark on a new chapter, one that would challenge me to the fullest. I took the leap to create my own guest house in Tamarin—a dream I had nurtured for years.
A year ago, I purchased a beautiful property in Black Rock, Tamarin. The journey was anything but easy—7 long months of intense renovations that tested my resilience!
I learned everything, from the different types of paints to the complexities of plumbing, tiles, electricity panels—and yes, I even mastered the silicone gun 🤓 !
Along the way, I also discovered the endless array of decoration shops, both online and across Mauritius, each one offering something new to bring my vision to life.
There were days I felt like quitting, but every setback made the eventual victory sweeter. By the end of December 2023, my fourth 'child' LAKAZ DEL SOL was born😍
Now, 9 months into this incredible venture, I wake up every day feeling immense gratitude.
I believed in my dream, never gave up, and now I’m living it.
Meeting people from all over the world, creating friendships that transcend borders—this is the true reward💕.
My guest house has become more than a business; it's a space of human connection, where even my kids form lasting bonds with the children of our guests.
