Gold Looks Good in Green

Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru is proud to be EarthCheck Gold Certified 2026, independently audited each year through the science-based EarthCheck Certified programme.

Set within the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the island’s care for the planet reaches from reef to rooftop: one of the Maldives’ largest resort-based solar installations, 292,000 fewer plastic bottles annually through our water bottling programme, electric buggies, guest bicycles, reduced linen and towel replacement, sustainable seafood sourcing, island-grown herbs and mushrooms, organic waste diversion, food waste technology, and recycling partnerships that give materials a better next chapter.

Our Marine Discovery Centre is home to 15 marine biologists leading coral restoration, turtle rehabilitation, manta ray research and fish breeding, including more than 250,000 coral fragments transplanted onto 5,000 reef frames around Landaa. Care continues through community outreach, local artisan support, beach cleanups, 35,000 trees planted and the Four Seasons Resorts Maldives Hospitality Apprenticeship Program, which has helped more than 750 young Maldivians shape their future in hospitality.

Shell Yeah, Ramma!

Five months, four flippers, one very determined comeback.

Today, on World Turtle Day, Ramma the juvenile Olive Ridley turtle made her way back to the big blue after months of care, rehabilitation, and expert turtle TLC at our Marine Discovery Centre.

A heartfelt thank you to the brilliant turtle vets and marine biologists at , and our long-time collaborators , for helping make this turtle-ly special return possible.

Ocean, she’s yours again. Please expect fabulous flipper energy.
