The world’s first long term, resort led 3D reef monitoring program is quietly taking shape beneath the waters of Six Senses Kanuhura.

Using advanced reef mapping, photogrammetry, and AI analysis, our sustainability team is building highly detailed digital models of the reef to better understand how it grows, changes, and responds over time.

Thousands of underwater images, countless hours below the surface, and a lot of curiosity later, the Kanuhura Coral Census is already helping us see the reef in a completely new way. Think less clipboard and tape measure, more digital reef twin.

Still very much a work in progress, but one we are incredibly excited to keep sharing with you as it evolves.
