K. GURAIDHOO, SOUTH MALE' ATOLL
Most populous island in South Male Atoll with around 1800 people, is the atoll’s largest town. It’s charming and the islanders are friendly. Its lagoon has a good anchorage and it’s a busy port used by both fishing dhonis and passing safari boats.

Most popular with budget travelers who stay at the cheap guesthouses, and with visitors from nearby resorts. There are many resorts around Guraidhoo like Biyaadhoo island resort, Como Coco island, Maadhoo by Ozen, Fun island, Olhuveli beach, Rihiveli, Adhaaran Club Rannaalhi, Lhohi and Holiday in Kandooma is in same lagoon about 150 feet away.

Snorkeling:

For those who would love to see the underwater but hesitate to take the deep plunge, snorkeling is a wonderful alternative.
Since the lagoons of Maldives are so clear that with just a snorkel mask and fin you can be witness to the activities of the many different species of fish and fauna on the unique Maldivian reefs.

Dolphin Watching
Spinner Dolphins are the commonest species, and they occur here in their tens of thousands. They have a regular daily routine to their lives, feeding offshore at night, coming into the atolls in the early morning, and leaving again for the open ocean in the late afternoon. This dependable schedule means that it is very easy to find Spinner Dolphins at certain times every day. And as a result, We offer morning or afternoon dolphin excursions to see Spinners. While nothing with wildlife can be absolutely guaranteed, you will never have a better chance to watch wild dolphins playing in their natural environment than right here in the Maldives.

Its lagoon has a good anchorage and it’s a busy port used by both fishing dhonis and passing safari boats. Sultans from Male sought refuge here during rebellions from as early as the 17th century, while today it’s popular with budget travelers who stay at the cheap guesthouses, and with visitors from nearby resorts (it’s actually possible to walk across the lagoon to a neighboring resort at low tide!). A walk around the island is 4 km. There are a few guest shops where you can buy souvenirs. The youth play football every day, to join in, they’ll love it. Kitesurfing is an option near the sandy shallow lagoon west of the island. The underwater world is spectacular for snorkeling and diving. There are cafes, Local Shops and restaurants.
