📍 Dive site🪸: Atolhugali, Baa Atoll
⏱ ~50 min from Royal Island, Maldives
One of the most iconic dive sites in Baa Atoll, Maldives Atolhugali remains one of the atoll’s best-kept secrets.

this site is abundant with marine life and covered in vibrant yellow, pink, and blue soft corals. Dramatic overhangs and massive coral pinnacles are fully draped in soft coral growth, creating a truly breathtaking underwater landscape.

The top reef begins at around 7–8 meters and slopes down to 28–30 meters. A medium to strong current brings this dive site to life soft corals bloom, and the reef becomes active with hunting predators like dogtooth tuna and jacks.

Schools of fusiliers and clouds of anthias keep the reef alive with constant movement and color. Towards the end of the dive, the shallow top reef still offers plenty to explore, with healthy hard corals and abundant reef fish.

To make the most out of this dive site, consider training for Deep Diver levels and diving with Nitrox allowing you extended bottom time and more to explore.
