Nurse sharks over 2 meters long.
Large stingrays passing by.

And Ice just sits there.

Curious sharks inspect her feet before moving on.

Sometimes, word of mouth says it all.

A tourist staying on neighboring Thinadhoo wanted to spend a day fishing.

After asking around, he got one recommendation:

“Talk to Jupiter Sunrise Lodge.”

So we organized a trip with Jupiter 5 and picked him up in the morning.

The result:

• Bluefin trevally
• different grouper species
• red snapper

Sometimes, all it takes is one day on the water.

Too heavy to lift safely.

Ending the trip the right way.

To finish the trip, Eddie Egloff from Escape Fly Fishing (France) headed out with Jupiter 8 for a popping session.

The result:

• multiple GT
• bluefin trevally
• grouper

And — one good GT joined the action.

After flats fly fishing, livebait fishing and spinning sessions, this was the perfect way to close another diverse fishing adventure in the Maldives.

Different techniques.
Different conditions.
One unforgettable trip.

Using small baitfish of around 10 cm, the goal was simple:

Find feeding fish — and let nature do the work.

The result:

• multiple yellowfin tuna
• dogtooth tuna
• needlefish
• barracuda

Sometimes, the smallest bait attracts the biggest attention.

During their stay with us:

Today: spinning session.

Sometimes the second chance counts.

After waiting for better conditions, the flats opened up again.

Under challenging conditions, Eddie Egloff from Escape Fly Fishing (France) went back out into the flats.

The result:

• 1 GT on fly
• 2 triggerfish on fly

Not easy fishing.
Changing conditions, wind and constant adjustments.

But sometimes patience pays off.
