Yesterday marked the official opening of the Sea Turtle Health Institute at Jawakara, in partnership with the Olive Ridley Project

This space represents more than a new facility. It is a place dedicated to rescue and long-term care of injured sea turtles, through dedicated conservation medicine practice. The institute also facilitates research and educational outreach to further strengthen marine conservation in the Maldives.

Every sea turtle that arrives here carries a story, often shaped by negative human impact. Olive Ridley Project, through its interventions, gives each sea turtle the chance to recover and, when possible, return to the ocean.

We are proud to be part of this work and to contribute to the protection of these incredible animals and their habitat. 🐢💙
