We are 380km from Lilongwe, 50km south of Nkhata Bay and 460km from Blantyre. Situated in its own completely private bay, Makuzi is a family-owned business and we have retained the beauty and exclusivity by only having 8 individual comfortable en suite chalets, all with stunning lake views set in perfect manicured gardens. 3 of these chalets are Executive and 1 Family chalet (perfect for 2 couple

s or a family of 6)the remaining 4 are Standard chalets. We have 1 fully self catering cottage which sleeps a family of 4. Our beautiful grassed campsite is perched on the edge of our beach. Makuzi has an excellent reputation for its cuisine, catering for all tastes and diets. Meals can be eaten in the restaurant with a spectacular view across the bay or privately on the beach or outside your chalet in the gardens. We offer cooking weekends using our own produce from our very own organic spice farm and gardens. Makuzi Beach has several activities to offer our guests, from lazing on the beach and snorkeling in the clear waters of the lake or kayaking to our small island offshore. Thank you to Rachel at Tiger Lily Yoga studio in Lilongwe for hosting our evening cacao ceremony, and to Makuzi Beach Lodge for holding our Women’s Wellness Retreat under the most stunning full moon on Lake Malawi.

Deep gratitude and love to Helen Valentino from Inspired Healing for coming all the way from the UK to guide my cacao ceremony training, and for leading our beautiful women’s full-moon cacao ceremony at Makuzi.
And to for her incredible sound healing, and to all the women who stepped into this space with courage, connection, and open hearts.

All cacao used in our ceremonies was grown at home through Rift Lake Spice Co., honouring our land, our lake, and our community.

This is only the beginning of our 7–10 day holistic wellness retreats:
