Job Title: Production & Operations Manager
Reports To: Management
Job Purpose:
To oversee and manage the entire operations of block and paver production, ensuring efficiency, quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. The role involves supervising workers and machinery, monitoring resources and expenses, and maintaining proper accounting records while driving continuous improvement and profitability.
1.Responsibilities
1.Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily block and paver production activities.
2.Ensure machines are maintained, serviced, and operated efficiently to minimize downtime.
3.Implement quality control standards to guarantee high-quality output.
4.Monitor raw materials usage, wastage, and stock levels.
5.Optimize production schedules to meet customer demand and deadlines.
6.Resource & Expense Management
7.Track and account for all resources including cement, sand, aggregates, water, fuel, and other inputs.
8.Prepare and maintain accurate records of expenses, production costs, and resource utilization.
9.Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly and financial reports on production, resources, and expenses.
10.Supervise workers, machine operators, and support staff, ensuring safety, discipline, and productivity.
11.Enforce health and safety standards in the workplace.
12.Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.
13.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.
14. Analyze production data and recommend improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
2.Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, Construction, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience in manufacturing/production management, preferably in block/paver or construction materials.
Strong financial and resource management skills.
Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise a team.
Good problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Knowledge of machine operations, maintenance, and safety standards.
Proficiency in MS Office, accounting basics, and reporting tools.
