Lukwe means ‘a place of natural beauty’ and is perched on the side of an idyllic valley, where the Manchewe and Kazichi Falls plunge 80 metres below into a deep and untamed gorge. The view from the deck at the main lodge, where meals are served and dreams are dreamt, crosses a valley with Nyika plateau in the back drop, leads you to Lake Malawi and takes you across the great expanse of water, into

Tanzania and the Kipengere mountain range. Lukwe offers tranquil lodging and camping on 5 hectares of Brachystygia and Miombo woodland. Lukwe is fully run by solar power, use permaculture since almost two decades and was built with wood from the nearby region. All furniture is handmade in the same way, still no or very little compromising with luxury. This place is built and maintained in the most ecological way having almost no impact on the surrounding nature.
