Our Story
Have you been searching for Heaven on Earth or an exotic place or simply a place to chill…..Mufasa Eco Lodge situated in Monkey Bay has it all…. As you enter this stunning place, take your time and climb “Jam Rock” on your left, takes just 2 min. and explore in an almost 360 degree view, what Mother Nature has created at a secluded spot at Lake Malawi. The majestic silence and the soft breeze will only be interrupted by chirping birds, the call of the fish eagle, the sound of the warm and inviting crystal clear water and everything else you expect in paradise. Don’t forget your camera to take the first pictures and see what you let yourself into over the coming days…. or come back for a romantic sunset with a glass of wine or an ice cold beer. After this first amazing impression our friendly staff will warmly welcome you and show you around. From the bar to the restaurant with an all day menu, to the chill out area, you will feel that you have just arrived at the right spot at the right time. The campsite built on different levels in the shade of the mountain flora and the marvelous view over the beach site and its unique surrounding invites you to become an explorer as one camp spot is built in a small cave. You prefer a decent bed and a roof above your head. We offer Double, Twin, Single and Dorm Rooms right on the beach, cozily furnished, with solar lighting and mosquito netting. A local mosaic artist ensured that you will enjoy your hot or cold shower any time of the day or night. Next to our restaurant we offer a braai area for those who like to cook for themselves. The soft solar lighting will ensure that you find your way at night, without disturbing the fire sparks floating up in the air or the ability to see that the stars do shine brighter over Africa.
