Located about 1 hour from Mzuzu City, and about 25 minutes from Nkhata Bay town, about a 6 minutes’ drive fr

om Chintetche town, and just 500 metres off the main M5 road. 2 hours if coming from Nkotakota, lake shore road. With so few rooms the lodge remains small and intimate, in our view essential for a beach stay! Dumuwa is excellent value for money and rather under-priced in our opinion, which makes it one of Nkhata Bay’s best small beach lodges. The main dining area and relaxed, informal beach bar have been designed very much with comfort in mind. A great place to unwind, keeping with the beach feel of the lodge, the bar is spacious and yet intimate with groupings of comfortable arm chairs providing the perfect place for a mid-afternoon refresher. We receive consistently good reports for the food, an eclectic fusion of African and European styles of food.
