Chivita shell 🐚 El caracol chivita, molusco acuático

The aquatic life inside the beautiful lagoon of the seven colors is abundant, a clear example of this is the chivita snail (Pomacea Flegellata) is a detritivorous and herbivorous that contributes to the natural cleansing of this lagoon body.

Known also by the scientific name of Melongena Corona Bispinosa, the chivita snail suffers from irrational extraction; for what has been considered for a couple of years, its reproduction on farms.

It is the reason why the care and preservation of this beautiful specie is very important especially in its reproduction period that begins in August and ends in October, two months where they put their eggs, out of the pond and you can observe them in the pillars of woods or stones of the docks that stick out in the lagoon, virgin zones where the settlers do not manage to subtract them and can continue their life cycle.. In its reproduction, the female places the roe of up to 500 snails above the water, they develop and hatch, they are born of 1 millimeter and in three weeks they reach 25 millimeters, they have accelerated growth.-
