Bucerias is full of authentic Mexican culture with a variety of food options ranging from taco and churro stands to coffee shops, sports bars and fine dining. It is a safe, family-friendly neighbourhood walkable at all times of the day or night. Plenty of local shops full of artwork, jewelry, clothes and gifts as well as the marketplace just across the 'Paseo del Beso' (kissing bridge) to get to t
he centro. There is live music, lots of bars and action going on around the plaza most nights of the week! However, the heart of Bucerias is the beach. Even in the high season there is plenty of space to walk, run, sunbathe, swim, surf and play. You won't find the hustle of Sayulita or the rocky sand of Puerto Vallarta. Bucerias offers a calm beach with a great, shallow sand bar for easy enjoyment. There are many walk up beachfront restaurants all along from the end of our street headed north towards the plaza, popup massages and a minimal amount of locals selling authentic Mexican gifts. Getting Around
The house is located a block from the main highway and a 2 min walk to the bus stop where frequent buses take you south towards the marina and downtown Puerto Vallarta (30-45 minutes) for less than a dollar each way! Or if you want to head out to beautiful Sayulita or Punta de Mita, catch the bus north for another 30 minutes to drive through the jungle and arrive at some secluded, white sandy and turquoise water beaches! Taxis are also an affordable way to get around, but if you want the local experience we would strongly recommend the bus!
