Just one of the many reasons I love Mexico. I met Maro, an artist, at the Art Walk in San Jose several years ago. Along with other art, Maro does an amazing job replicating Baja’s beautiful sunsets and one of the canvases he uses to paint are full-size surfboards. I have spent several years pining over them, trying to figure out how I can afford to ship one back to the States. So whenever I am here, whether it is the Thursday Art Walk in San Jose or the Friday Walk in Cabo San Lucas, I stop by and talk with Maro. Our conversations usually start about his latest art but then run deeper, into life itself, and I always walk away with a full heart and a smile. This trip, he had a mini board painted for me that he had kept for several months waiting for the next time I would visit. I cannot say enough about the people of Mexico - an amazing country full of loving people. And if you are worried about the events the news tends to sensationalize about Mexico, Los Cabos is and remains one of the safest places around. 🇲🇽❤️
