Casa Libre has been part of Casa Apnea for a while now — and it finally has its own home on our website. We’ve put everything in one place: how it works, what’s included, pricing, getting here, booking details, and answers to the questions we get most often.

Our next Casa Libre dates are:

A little reintroduction for anyone who’s new here 👋 
We’re Roberto & Katie, the two people behind Casa Apnea. We built Casa to be the kind of place we always wanted as freedivers: depth next door, a pool and gym for training, comfortable spaces to recover or work (if you haven’t quit your day job yet!). It was meant to be a home base for exploring the wild cenotes and everything we love about Yucatán.  Somewhere along the way, it became a lot more than that. We’ve gotten to share our favorite cenotes, welcome divers from all over the world, host competitions and retreats, and watch this little corner of Yucatán become a home away from home for a growing freediving community.

So whether you’ve been following since the beginning or just found us: welcome to Casa Apnea. 💚

Casa Libre lately.

Daily depth training, plus EQ work, bubble rings, cenote light, and a whole lot of tacos 🌮🫧 Some divers are here getting ready for the Azul Freediving Challenge. Others came just to train and spend some time with friends. It’s been a good few weeks! ✨

Inside the rooms at Casa Apnea. 🌿

We designed our rooms to be your home base while you’re here training. Each room has a comfortable bed (we’ve had more than a few guests tell us it’s the best they’ve ever slept), air conditioning, a full closet, and a dedicated work space. High-speed Starlink Wi-Fi is wired directly into every room, so you can actually get some work done (or enjoy some Netflix) between dives.

Every room also has a private bathroom stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, plus a hair dryer. And each has its own hot water heater — so you’re guaranteed a hot shower when everyone gets back from the cenote.

For longer stays, there’s also a washer and dryer on site and plenty of space to unpack and settle in.
