Our altars for Day of the Death!

It doesn't matter which religion we are, but we do it as part of our traditions and culture. We like to think on these days we can spend some time with our beloved ones even if they are not with us anymore.

Last week, San Isidro was celebrated in our town. It's a tradition for local people to decorate the streets for the May 15th processions. And we couldn't be an exception, especially since the B&B is right in downtown.

Recently we had a guest, who is a professional photographer. He was here for work. And we are in awe with his work, he shared some of his pics with us. For confident reasons we can't share his name, but if you are looking at our posts, you know who you are ;).

Can you see the tag?
We've tried to post pictures or videos regularly. And we know people want to see the butterflies active, but just this week the temperature dropped down and we've taking people to see the monarchs, even it's cold and rainy. And that's what actually let our friend Rodrigo to take this video in which you can see a tagged butterfly.

December 10th, is our Dad's birthday.
When Maraleen Manos-Jones was here for her birthday, two weeks ago. She was with some of her friends from Valle de Bravo, so she mentioned for her birthday she went to do the ultralight flight, and her friends were the pilots who did the flight. So, we got to meet them. And from that moment Joel thought it'll be nice if my parents would get to do that.
We started to plan, and as soon as we got a response from www.vuelaqui.com we were all ready to have this experience, in total there were 19 of us, actually for some of us it was the first time flying, so it was really amazing.
Joel and I (Ana) got to flight above Macheros, and it was so COOL to see the mountains and Macheros from above.

We love the colors!!!
It is amazing to see the vibrant colors of the flowers for Day of the Dead. And as soon as those flowers are gone, local people start selling Noche Buenas or poinsettias.
