Funky boutique-style hotel located on Isla Mujeres, Mexico. Family owned & operated with love. Our motto being "Relax, relax, relax".

Located on the beautiful Caribbean island of Isla Mujeres. Kate & Safari (mother-daughter, originally from Canada) own and run Las Palmas and have been coming to the island for more than 25 years. Our hotel is a friendly combination of authentic Mexico and comforts of home. We are in love with our location, in the downtown, right across from the municipal market and loncheria eating stalls. We are

a little over a block (2-5 min walk) from gorgeous Playa Norte and just around the corner from Hidalgo avenue that houses so many wonderful restaurants, bars and hang-outs - but far enough away to not hear it! We also think you'll really enjoy our communal areas! Our roof-top terrace is where you'll find our dipping pool. Perfect for cooling off. Many comfortable lounges, tables and chairs, and a beach bed. On our second floor, we have a shaded hammock deck overlooking the street and mercado area. Our hotel was built in the old colonial style with all rooms facing into a courtyard. Our courtyard patio is lovingly decorated with many tropical palms :) plants and flowers. 🏖️💙 TODAY MAY BE NATIONAL BEACH DAY IN THE U.S., BUT TAKING CARE OF THE PLACES WE LOVE IS SOMETHING THAT MATTERS EVERYWHERE. 💙🏖️

National Beach Day is observed in the United States on August 30, but it’s about more than celebrating a beautiful day by the water. It’s also a reminder to protect our beaches, keep our shorelines clean & look out for the wildlife that calls them home. 🌊🐢

Here on Isla Mujeres, we’re incredibly lucky to be surrounded by beautiful beaches and some pretty spectacular Caribbean water. Whether you live here, visit once, or return year after year, there are little things we can all do to help take care of this special place. 💙

🌴 Pick up something you didn’t leave behind.
🌴 Skip single-use plastics when you can.
🌴 Take everything with you when you leave the beach.
🌴 Be mindful of marine life.

Small actions can make a big difference. 🌎💙
