🏝️ Fall Is the Best-Kept Secret on Isla Mujeres — Here's What's Still Open

September on Isla Mujeres means the summer crowds are gone, the water is warm, the sunsets are unreal, and it's peak turtle nesting season! 🐢 Plus, September and October have the best rates of the year.

We've been getting a lot of bookings lately (thank you!), so here's an updated look at what's available at our beachfront suites on Playa Norte:

☀️ September — Still have some great openings! The Standard Room has windows Sep 11–14 and Sep 20–30. The One Bedroom Suite is wide open from the 4th onward. Best rates of the year!

🍂 October — Filling up faster than expected! Both suites still have availability early in the month (Oct 1–10), but mid-to-late October is getting tight. Great weather, no crowds.

🎃 November — Booking up! Our One Bedroom Suite is mostly reserved but reach out if you have specific dates — we may be able to make it work. The Standard Room still has some nice mid-month openings. Great weather for a Thanksgiving getaway.

🎄 December — Booking up fast! A few windows remain before the holidays — reach out with your preferred dates. Holiday weeks (Dec 23+) are reserved.

❄️ January 2027 — Escape the cold! The Standard Room is wide open nearly the entire month. Our One Bedroom Suite has openings early January and the last week.

💕 February & March 2027 — Winter escape season! Both months have scattered availability. February is great for Valentine's, and late March (21–28) has both suites free for spring break.

🌸 April 2027 — Wide open from the 6th onward for both suites. Perfect island weather!

🦈 Someone Just Booked a Whale Shark Trip From Our Last Post — There's Still Time!

One of you saw our July post, reached out, and just booked a trip to swim with whale sharks at the end of this month! 🙌 We love hearing from you — and it's a great reminder that whale shark season runs through mid-September, so there's still time to make it happen.

But we're also getting a LOT of questions about fall and winter dates, so here's your full look at what's available at our beachfront suites on Playa Norte:

🦈 Late August & Whale Sharks — Both suites have a great open window Aug 24–31 right in the heart of whale shark season. Last chance this year!

🔥 September & October — Our best-kept secret! Both suites are wide open with virtually every date available. Warm Caribbean water, fewer crowds, amazing sunsets, and the best rates of the year. If you want the island practically to yourself, this is it.

🍂 November — Almost sold out! Our One Bedroom Suite (604) has just 6 free nights left in November. The Standard Room (603) still has good availability early in the month. Don't wait on this one.

🎄 December — There's a beautiful pre-holiday window Dec 19–22 with both suites available — perfect for a quick beach getaway before Christmas. Holiday weeks (Dec 23 – Jan 2) are sold out.

❄️ January & February 2027 — Escape the cold! Both suites still have good availability, but our One Bedroom Suite is filling up fast. Great time to trade snow for sand.

🌸 March & April 2027 — Spring break season is booking up! March is getting tight but late March (21–28) still has both suites. April is wide open from the 5th onward.

July is here and we're right in the middle of peak whale shark season on Isla Mujeres! 🐋☀️ These gentle giants are just offshore through mid-September — it's one of the top bucket-list experiences in the Caribbean. If you've been thinking about a trip, now is the time to lock in your dates!

Here's what's available at our beachfront suites on Playa Norte:

🌊 August — Great availability! Both suites have nice open windows throughout the month, especially mid-August and the last full week (Aug 24–31). Peak whale shark season with the best chances to swim with them, plus great summer rates.

🔥 September & October — Best-value months with virtually every date available. Warm water, fewer crowds, and whale sharks still around through mid-September. This is the hidden gem of the Isla Mujeres calendar.

🍂 November — Filling up! Room 604 is nearly sold out for November. Early November still has some openings for Room 603. Ideal weather without the winter price tag.

🎄 December — Early December is booked but Dec 19–22 has a great pre-holiday window (both suites!). Holiday weeks (Dec 23 – Jan 2) are sold out.

🌴 January – April 2027 — High season is booking up but still has excellent availability. January and February are wide open for the Standard Room, and April is almost completely free for both suites. Lock in your winter escape before the best weeks are gone!
